In creating this design, I wanted to obtain something clean and modern, but also something cool and expressive, in consonance with the surf/beach vibe of the brand. I wanted this logo to be a versatile one, a logo that could be used in different variants and contexts without losing its specific character. I chose to create a logotype, using the short AuB. in order for it to have a monogram quality to it and to be more visually impactful, but I also introduced the whole name into the composition to show how they could work together; nonetheless, the logotype can easily be used on its own. The sinuous, modulated lines of the logotype give dynamicity and expressivity to the composition and I wanted to integrate the “u” in a creative way, introducing it as a link between the other two letters and thus preserving the flow of the whole.")
