Although the covers are different, this approach helps readers to see the two books as a “collection” rather than as a “standalone”.
Regarding the concept, I followed the author’s suggestion of an hourglass to represent time. I placed it as if it were rising from the water or floating on its surface. The seascape with the sunlight gives a great depth to the book cover, but the main reason I chose it is because it conveys peace and a sense of hope. The entire image invites the reader to moments of meditation and devotion… always in a positive way.
The flight of the seagulls, which seems to create a growing line of movement extending from the back cover, represents the evolution and personal growth that these minutes of daily reflection can help to achieve.")

The request was to create a design with an atmosphere of mystery, but also with a sense of spirituality.
A realistic, serene valley at sunset with rolling hills and a quaint small town with a chapel were the more important elements, as well as a pathway symbolizing the journey to uncover secrets.
Having these details in mind, I decided to keep the path in the foreground, along with a large tree that frames the entire scene. This allowed me to include the small town on the horizon, closer to the warm light of the sun.
A subtle placement of an old vintage personal journal was also one of the authors' requests, which helped to add another element of mystery to the cover.

The inspiration for PROVISION is dark industrial ish, pushing into the speakeasy feel just a bit, but not too over the top in the stereotypical aspect. The interior is rich in range of recycled materials, timber with rustic quality, exposed brick, leather and some whimsical elements like birch trees going in with back lit lanterns.
Dove is a symbol of new beginnings. Flying dove has been chosen as the main image of Provision brand to convey the mission of providing a positive experiences and new opportunities. Doves are usually represented as gentle, kind and love, however the PROVISION’S dove represents majesty, strength and determination.")
