They say the forests of the town are haunted and as a teenager everyone wants to venture those forests at night.
With that in mind I thought it was fun to draw the characters ghost like.
I have never seen a night sky like in Sintra, so we have an abstract moon and star.
I moved to England when I was a teenager and only now started to really appreciate the place I grew up in and that's why I made this design so colourful, because I want people to feel how vibrant Sintra is, through it.")

After having considered doing a pixelated background, I realized that it would not scale well when reduced in size. I have a few iterations that I have been working on where the foreground is mountains or an ocean, but ultimately, I think the leading lines within the cityscape work best to draw the viewer’s eye around the logo.")
