The 99d Design System is a collection of standards, components, tools, and resources that empower teams at 99designs to design usable, delightful experiences for our users, faster and more efficiently.
Emu was chosen as the name because it’s uniquely Australian and speaks to 99d’s origins being an Australian startup. It also ties in with 99d’s quirky brand and the fun mascot will not only help to identify the system, but at the same time be fun, a little quirky, but lovable.")

We decided to go with a 60' gangster theme to it wild badass feel to it but yet classy gentlemen element, so we came up with this monkey gambler illustration. That way both elemnts from the name are incorporated \"wild\" and the \"cad\". 😊
