:format(webp)/99designs-contests-attachments/71/71838/attachment_71838066 "As it's a logo for a gaming industry, and based on the cartoon-ish logo examples the CH provided in the brief, I decided to go for a fun, clever logo that would be consisting of a joystick and streaming symbols, which I decided would be a play, pause and record buttons.
Using my grids technique, I was able to arrange all the elements in such a way that the logo looks natural, proportional and works well as a whole concept. It also helped me match the thickness of the font with the lines in the logo.
The small square corners add to the symbols of video streaming.
I chose to use red as it's an energetic and dynamic colour, which I though matches the industry and company's ideas.")

BRIEF
The client presented 2 options as themes for the logo.
1) The King theme (using a crown / king in the logo)
2) The Viking theme (as a reference to the fact that Nordic countries participate in the tournament).
Note: This is the concept based on the King theme. In my portfolio you can also find the design I submitted for the Vking theme, which was finally the winning design in the contest.
DESIGN PROCESS
I followed the client's request and I used a crown as the central element of the design.
I did not want to wear the typical old medieval crown but rather something more modern, clean and unique.
The client did not ask for a specific color palette, so I decided to go for a nice contrast of dark blue and bright colors (white and cyan) that make the design immediately stand out.")
