The book is about a group of abused, sexually and physically, kids that are now homeless. They range in age of 13 to 18 with the 18 year old being the main protagonist. So it's not a light subject and much of the book is difficult to read and rather dark. The end does provide hope with survival and faith but it takes a while to get there. So something that reflects the tone, I suppose, is most important.")

We wanted to capture that lush tropical vibe in our design so we made a little rainforest somewhere in the islands, with a lot of vegetation, waves and sun. The name of the company is Coccoloba, the scientific name of the seagrape plant, so we incorporated that as well in our design.
This project was right up our alley, so we enjoyed very much working on it, awesome client, good communication overall fun project.

Something kinda playful, but legible, something that doesn't look aggressive, they wanted something that feels sleek, and mature, but hip and the logo must only be one color.
So we get pedal to the metal and come up with this. 😃
We decided to go with a skull as a picture element so it can perfectly be incorporated into the logo name. Give it a bit grain to have grunge looking feel to it, and of course all black and white.")
