A part from the must-haves, i add a meaningful content : speedometer, which shows how fast the user currently 'burn' money. Showing what's their current position on the calendar, and their current budget.
By tapping into user emotion with actionable items. So user could then decide meaningful action based on this information presented.
The speedometer metaphor shows the speed of money spent ( average $ per day ), i think this closer to the users daily live so its more intuitive. The budget track and calendar track shown horizontally in rows to show the difference speed between money spent and days of the calendar, as 2nd metrics so user could compare between this two track.")
