I love artistic anatomy and human facial expression so it was a joy creating the two characters!
Historical accuracy for the boy's outfit was also very important so I spent a bit of time studying the Victorian dressing code for boys.
Once the images were ready, I added the text layout paying attention to all the technical specifications as well as to the visual coherence that had to result from combining the illustrations with the overall design of the cover.")
