Description of the organization and its target audience
I am a clinical psychologist. This is a book regarding a family process called "parental alienation" that occurs in high-conflict divorce. It is a family process where a child rejects a parent because of the distorting influence on the child by a pathological parent. This is a book for both mental health professionals and for families going through parental alienation in high-conflict divorce. The ground audience is mental health professionals.

Description
A 6x9 book cover for CreateSpace. Professional target audience, no pictures of kids or families. Simply a graphic design. This book is the first of a three-part series. All three books will have the same structure to their titles. Book 1 is "An Attachment-Based Model of Parental Alienation: Foundations" Book 2 is "An Attachment-Based Model of Parental Alienation: Diagnosis" and Book 3 is "An Attachment-Based Model of Parental Alienation: Treatment" --- I would like the basic design format for all three books to be the same, with each book differentiated by color, perhaps the primary design block on the cover, and by the prominent placement of key terms Foundations - Diagnosis- Treatment on the front cover.

Other notes
In general I like an arts & crafts/craftsman style. My website has this feel (http://www.drcachildress.org). I want the book to convey professional credibility, so simplicity is good. I don't want pictures of kids or families or people. Just a simple graphics quality that draws attention to the titles, particularly Foundations for this first book. For the second book we will just switch out the word Foundations for the word Diagnosis and change the color, and graphic - but with the same structural format to the cover design. And then we'll do the same switch for the third book on Treatment, so that all three books have the same structural feel to the cover but with easily discernible variations. I am attaching examples of various sorts that provide the feel for what I'm seeking. My general preference would tend towards examples 1 and 2.
