I held a blind design contest and edgar1van produced consistently original designs of the highest quality and even some very clever variations of what was requested. The result was an obvious winner. I would love to work with him again!
- Ryan Munir
Very professional, creative and flexible designer! It is a pleasure working with Ryan. Obviously, with Ryan, designs turn out far better than ever imagined. Thank you, Ryan!
- UX Specialist
Fantastic UX wireframes work again. I will always use this designer whenever he is available. Great working with him and he has taught me a lot about UX and challenges me with my own development of UX skills. Thank you so much for all your help so far! May we have many more projects together :-)
How Startup Victoria started their wordpress theme design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a community based non-profit organisation, our goal is to make Victoria’s startup ecosystem a world class ecosystem. We do this by focusing on creating More Founders & Better Founders. We organise inspirational and educational events, and we facilitate connections.
Our target audience are (nascent) startup founders. Our organisation is here for founders in all levels of maturity, from early stage founders to experienced/successful founders. The early stage founders fall in two broad categories, students and ‘corporate refugees’, and make up the bulk of our audience.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Community & Non-Profit
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the WordPress theme?
7. The general style of the website should appeal to our entire audience of both early stage and more experienced founders. Because of that and to appeal to a startup audience the website should have the right mixture of playful and business like.
In terms of colours, you can use the grey and red that are present in the logo.
We’ll aim to have a lot of images (mainly photography) on the page.
a. Home & About: provide information about the organisation
b. Memberships: provide information on the memberships
c. Sponsorships: provide information on sponsorship opportunities and how to get in touch
d. Contact: provide information on how to get in touch
The website overall should tell people what our organisation does and sell tickets and sponsorship.
What to avoid
8. You can introduce new complementary colours, but stick to the main pallet present in the logo.
