I am an indie author who recently published a self help book titled ‘Are You Happy? A guidebook on how to earn happiness’. My target audience is 35 + to middle aged women and 10 percent of men in that age group who are in search of happiness and the process of how to earn it.

Colour scheme should look modern, clean, eye catching, inviting and simple, make them feel they want to buy the book
It’s a self help book - a feel of new knowledge or a sense of adventure could be beneficial
Font style should compliment the homepage image that is modern, innovative and comfortable for the customers eye.

Homepage:
The entire website initially will be just a single WordPress page with sections that the user can scroll down through.

The page should open (the slider) with a full screen graphic image that will need to be designed. I would like a realistic image that shows the book laid out on a wooden table, preferably a light coloured wooden table with a light coloured background. On the table will be these items laid out neatly: a dark brown leather messenger bag, a DSLR camera, a leather bound journal with a pen and pencil neatly sits next to it, a passport with a boarding pass inside the passport with the end peeping out and laid just near the journal and right next to all those items, on it’s own, would be the self help book (it’s only an ebook at present, so some graphics work need to be done to make it look like a real book.) The camera POV for this image should be directly above looking down.

As far as colour scheme is concerned, use your imagination on this one. Just make sure it looks modern, clean and professional looking. The image itself needs to be attention grabbing and memorable so it can make the reader want to buy the book.

Text that I will provide describing the book

Preview
A small section that has a Preview button of some sort, that, when clicked, will pop-up a scrollable window on screen containing a html version of a preview of the first chapter of the book (which I can provide.)

What people are saying/testimonials
A section that contains 3 or 4 highlighted quotes from external reviews of the book.

Purchase Links
Links of the online book retailers where the customer can immediately order

Reviews and Articles
Links to full external reviews and features articles that customers can click to read

Underneath this, need to place two icons, Facebook and Steemit
