The Food Sommelier is the brainchild of Annette Hottenstein: professional taste tester, registered dietitian and food scientist. The goal is to promote the appreciation of healthy nutritious foods. Parallels are drawn to how a wine sommelier trains people to appreciate wine. One of my taglines is "Can you describe a honey crisp apple like with the same attention and detail as a find Chardonnay" or "Can broccoli be as sexy as a glass of Champagne". There will be a food sommelier podcast and blog housed on the website. :Target Audience Age: 25-65. Live mostly in the USA and English speaking countries, most likely in urban area. May or may not have a family. b. what do they struggle with, what will you provide them that will help? Struggle with weight management, eating the right foods, increasing produce consumption. Getting their kids to eat healthy. c. They love to cook and want to eat healthier but may be confused about nutrition. d. Describe your target audience in 3 sentences. Upper middle class to upper class foodies. Probably have at least some college education and live in an urban area (thinking east and west coasts). Enjoy grocery shopping and dining out. Concerned about nutrition and health. Watch cooking shows and the food network. May also have an interest in wine and beer. Probably 1/3 male and 2/3 female. Like to entertain (dinner parties, wine tasting parties, etc). Willing to try new foods (neophillic).
