World Wildlife Fund and the Seafood Taskforce
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in cooperation with the Seafood Task Force is looking to develop a web-based document traceability solution for the shrimp value chain in Thailand. "Our mission is to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth"(WWF).
The current process is mainly paper-based and has many bottlenecks and stumbling blocks that slow down or stop the flow of documents. The desktop/laptop web portal can track digital copies of these documents through the supply chain, linking the various actors and products from the entire supply chain to the individual lots of shrimp at the end of the process. By creating a digital document traceability solution, the Seafood Taskforce is hoping to be able to trace how fish was caught and used to produce feed for the shrimp value chain, and thereby reduce illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing. We are looking to have a complete set of wireframes developed for this desktop/laptop web portal.
The web portal will be used in conjunction with an Android Mobile app. Individuals will use the mobile app to capture images of official documents. They will then use the desktop/laptop web portal to track, organize, and link documents throughout the supply chain.
We are creating these technology for everyone in the shrimp value chain in Thailand, the fisherman that catch the fish to make shrimp food, the farmers that raise the shrimp, the processors that prepare them for market, and the government organizations that govern the entire process.
Please see the attached write-up for detailed examples of the traceability aspects that we are looking for.
We're looking for simple, clean, and fresh layout with a readable font (one version in English and one in Thai if possible), good use of negative space, contrast and color. We want it to be beautiful so that people to enjoy using it. This web portal is going to a productivity tool that is going to be used to organize numerous documents from various organizations. Users must be able to see information (read/unread, linked/not linked)about their documents quickly.
Users will be able to separate documents and other users by:
-Location
-Organizations
-Groups/Users in those organizations (that can submit documents with the mobile app)
-Document types
-Individual Documents
We are open to various ways of viewing this traceability process, as long as it has an intuitive layout and you can quickly determine which documents belong to which user in each organization.
We would like you to follow material design, and to keep in mind that we will be developing the website using Bootstrap 4 and Angular 4. The portal must work in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, and it must be responsive.
Please design so that max responsive size is 1920x1080 and the min size is 1024x768.
We no longer require that the submitter supply us with the CSS and HTML files for the project!
Please see the attachment
we are open to various color combinations, we would prefer that you do not use any neon colors or hard to read fonts. This web portal is going to be a productivity tool, and must function well and not create eye strain after many hours of use.
