We are a stock audio library with over 65,000+ music tracks and over 299,000+ sound effects. We license our music to our customers for professional use. According to a recent survey, most of our customers use our audio in online videos on Youtube, Daily Motion, Vimeo, Viddler, etc... Corporate videos and training videos, and for use on websites. In addition to these uses, our sound effects customers also frequently use our audio in short films and theatrical performances. We currently offer royalty-free music tracks with our basic license for $29.95 and sound effects for $3.95. In addition we also have a subscription plan for sound effects that allows subscribers to purchase them for as low as $1. We would prefer to keep the background color light but otherwise please be creative! Just keep in mind the goal is to increase the rate of new visitors that convert into customers. The design should make customers naturally and easily want to use the browse and search functions to find the tracks they need and then to ultimately make a purchase. The design should tell the customers that we have the highest quality selection of stock audio, made and relied upon by Hollywood pros. Customers should feel comfortable buying from us knowing that our clients include several prominent companies from the Fortune 500. Customers also should be made aware of all of the tools available to them to help them find what they are looking for, including but not limited to our advanced search tool and the ability for them to save their favorite tracks. Overall we want customers to feel like they came to the right place to find audio for their online videos, webpages, corporate videos, theatrical and film productions, and any other creative needs. If you are a designer with knowledge of conversion optimization, then this contest is for you! We are looking for an improvement over our current design to improve conversion rates. We will be purchasing the winning design to A/B test against our current page by routing a small percentage of our traffic to the newly designed pages and recording visitor behavior. If the new design outperforms our current one then we will implement it. What to avoid
I think mentioning prices should generally be avoided until the customers find exactly what it is they are looking for. Mentioning prices upfront can sometimes scare customers away before they ever give it a chance at finding the audio clip that they need for their project. Most of our customers have very specific needs for there project and after finding the perfect audio clip that they need they generally become less sensitive to prices. The same goes for Call to Actions (CTAs) for customers to sign up for a sound effects subscription. It would probably be better to save pricing information and subscription CTAs for the track details page. Also keep in mind that customers looking for sound effects are generally looking for something very specific and tend to use the search bar more often. For the sound effects landing page it would probably be more appropriate to draw attention towards the search bar and advanced search button/link. Music customers on the other hand are usually looking for tracks that convey a particular mood to use as background music for their movies / creative projects. For music customers there may be many possible solutions available so some might want to browse but others might find that using the search bar is even faster.
