The company is a young business which has already built up a good reputation amongst architects and construction engineers for doing hihgj quality work, and has worked on many prestigious projects in the UK.
The company designs, supplies and installs composite windows, composite/hybrid curtain walling and aluminium rainscreen cladding. Composite windows are timber on the interior side and coated/painted aluminium on the exterior; a curtain wall is essentially a framed glass wall.
The company works on both public and private new-build projects – apartment blocks, office blocks, libraries etc, often large developments.
Architects, Project Managers, Construction Engineers.
The company wants to launch a website. The website will showcase their work in the form of a gallery and also provide a repository for technical drawings of their products for the use of architects.
The requirement is for you to design a single page for the homepage which will also act as a template for the remaining pages. The various elements which need to appear on the page are detailed in the attached design document. I have also attached a zip full of of images you can choose to incorporate into your design. I can provide higher resolution copies of the images on request.
I am looking for a distinctive, attractive, eye-catching but professional site. It needs to look elegant but not cluttered. It needs to impress the visitor, so you will need to use your design flair for something special.
You might want to use the colors from the logo, but you are the designer, use whatever color scheme works with your design.
The winning design should be supplied in a layered Photoshop file.
Edit: After veiwing some of the designs, I'm concerned about the main image (image1.jpg) taking up to much space on other pages if it is used in the header. I have added some thoughts on this - see the attachment 'design document update'.
See the design document.
They have a holding page only.
