We are looking at a design for a new website for the PACE program offered at Alberta Bible College. Our target audience are future mature students seeking to complete a diploma or degree by attending evening classes.
We want a design that looks professional, but at the same time attracts adults around the ages of 30-50. We need something that's easy to navigate as we have a lot of information and the design also needs provides the information in an attractive manor. We've looked at other college and university websites, but we haven't found anything we really like. So we feel this means we want something that stands out from the rest.
This design is related to our other design request for our primary website but the designs can look very different from each other. We currently do not have a logo for adult education. As for what to use in place of a logo, feel free to just use "Alberta Bible College" and/or "PACE" as text with whatever styling fits. We will in the near future (likely this year) be coming up with a new logo and other marketing materials and the design of the website will be used as the basis for these materials.
We need 2 pages designed: the home page and a general content page. The home page will likely be considerably different from the other pages. It needs to grab the attention of potential students and direct them where they need to go. To see the existing content go to http://www.abccampus.ca/pace.php, but don't be concerned with fitting the content on that page into the existing website. We will be rethinking the content and structure on the new website.
The name of the program is "P.A.C.E." (the technical name includes the periods, although they aren't required on the home page). PACE is the Professional Adult Career Education Degree Completion and Diploma Program made for adults wanting to complete their degree or get a diploma during the evening. The tag line is "Genuine college program in 2 years."
The home page will include quick links, address and contact information, a news area and social networking links (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube).
It would also be good to include a clear link to "Apply Now" taking visitors directly to the application form.
Main menu items: we haven't firmed up exactly what these will be, but for now you can use: Program, Course Information, Financial Information, Contact Us.
