The main point is to get a general page layout which is easy on the eyes and lays the basis for displaying content of any type (there will be quite a bit of text). The layout should be based on a grid (ie. 960) as far as possible.
Also important is to have an easy-to-understand menu.
For the first page content, we are thinking of a front page, which will contain a short welcome message, news and a display of upcoming events, as well as images and links to partners. It could also be nice for it to contain a log-in form, though not too prominent.
The attached sketch is ONLY to get an idea of things, please feel free to experiment with other layouts!
The second is for a view of users, where they can show their CVs. This should contain an optional photo of the person, their name (possibly some other info), and a download link for their CV. See the attached sketch.
For both pages, the menu should be more or less the same as on the existing site ( http://indok-sor.no ), but it's important that it's doable to remove or add an item without redesigning the menu.
The menu could either be aligned on the left side, or as a horisontal menu on top. If it is a top menu, it should be possible to make it into a drop-down. In the sketches I've shown two different ones, but they should obviously be the same for all pages!
There should also be a footer with contact info, room for general info (just text), and links to Facebook pages, etc.
