We teach investing principles from the ground up based on what economists and finance professors advocate - the scientific way to invest. (Namely passive investing using index funds and ETF's) Everything we teach is backed up by unbiased academic research, hard facts, and simple math.

Mint.com - https://www.mint.com/ I like the way the video player works on the homepage and the style of the video. I also like the airy feel of the site and the use of smooth gradients. I think I want some kind of smooth gradient like that on my site, but perhaps more than just at the very top, like on the login page shown here: https://wwws.mint.com/login.event . Just try any type of gradient like that and I might like it. Another example of the type of gradient use I like is shown here: http://csstemplatesmarket.com/freecsstemplates/h_free_software/index.html TrunkClub.com - see attached file "trunkclub_graphics" I want my site to have graphics kind of like this on the homepage beside the text sections, but probably not as big, and with color. I don't want any photos used on my site or pictures of real people.

This is a description of all the pages I will include on my website, but I only need design concepts for the first two, Home and Investing Calculator. Page 1 - (Design this page) - Home The main function of the home page will be to get people to watch our two minute promotional video. It will tell people why they should learn to invest, and why they should learn to invest from us. There will be a horizontal toolbar of some sort at the top of the page that includes links to each of the following bullet-pointed pages shown below. The page will need room for the logo, the “Register Now” and “Login” button, the video player, and a headline and text sections shown in the PowerPoint file I have attached labelled "Home Page Example Layout" Of course I don't really like the layout I have created, that's why I'm paying you! Also, if you want to try your hand at copy writing, feel free to change the wording of the text sections of the home page. The home page also need to include a "Register Now" and a "Log In" button or something of the sort. Page 2 - (Design this page) - Investing Calculator This page will contain an investing calculator that allows people to compare two different investing scenarios. Inputs will include starting balance, contribution rate, and rate of return. Hopefully it will help to get people excited about learning to invest. I have attached a conceptual drawing of the features I want to include on this calculator in the file named “Investing Calculator”. Please feel free to change up the layout as you see fit to make it more aesthetically pleasing, but leave all the same functionality. Please design the layout of this calculator for me in a way that meshes well with the design of the rest of the site. Page 3 - (Don't design this page) - Endorsements This page will show quotes by professors at colleges around the country who endorse passive investing. Page 3 - (Don't design this page) - Course Overview This page will explain the features of the course, how much it costs, and gives an overview of the course outline. Page 4 - (Don't design this page) - Get Paid This page will explain how our affiliate program works and get people excited about becoming part of it. Page 5 - (Don't design this page) - About Us This page will explain either why we call ourselves ScientificInvesting.com. We will also tell our mission statement, values, and beliefs. Register Now Button and Login Button This button or something like that which will catch people’s attention and allow them to register for our course or login.

Target Audience: Our main target audience will be college students and young professional college graduates, but we will not exclude any age group or demographic. What we would like to achieve with this website: 1. Credibility - accomplished through a professional (but still fun) look and feel. 2. Ease of use - We want people to enjoy using our site. 3. Memorable – We want to stay on people’s minds for as long as possible. I like dark greens and dark blues, like in the logo I have attached for ScientificInvesting.com. Styles I like: • Professional yet fun • Web 2.0 (Modern) • Minimalist (Google-esque) Word I want people to use to describe my site: Fun, exciting, trustworthy, efficient, memorable, created for a multi-million dollar company Logo: I've attached a bitmap of the logo I would like to use, and also an AI file of the logo that was originally designed for ScientificInvesting101.com if that format is needed. It can be edited to look like the new ScientificInvesting.com logo I have attached. Also feel free to change the size of any part of the logo if needed to better incorporate it into my website.
