How Jjtirio started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Monarch Senior Care
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We provide non-medical, in-home care for senior citizens. Essentially, we do for seniors what their kids would do if they were able to be around.
The website is for lead generation and general information. Our target audience is women ages 40 - 65 years old. These are generally the daughters of the seniors that need the help. The seniors themselves rarely contact us directly.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Medical & Pharmaceutical
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
Overall marketing message relies on sentiment and shared memories, so retro designs would be good. It should not be irreverent. Imagine the emotion you might have while looking through a photo album with your now feeble mother. We also emphasize safety and security, not lowest price. We want people to feel a sense of urgency to act in order to ensure their family's safety. The seniors are often concerned about leaving their home, so messaging about the home being the center f the family unit and the place where the parents belong should be considered
On much of our other marketing materials (wrapped car, folders, brochures), we feature the grass and sky. A design featuring these elements would also be appreciated. The fonts in the logo are Goudy Old style and Gil Sans (thin)
Each page should have the same footer. I like the content in the Adora template from Business catalyst. Not the design so much, but the content areas are good. Footer should also have the services provided and areas served as on the current site. Every page should also have the phone number and logo prominently displayed. Also keep in mind that many of the visitors will be 50+ and their eyes might not be as sharp as they had once been, so stay away from white on black text and consider leaning toward higher contrast colors.
The home page should have an area for a pic carousel/slideshow. There should be 3-4 target areas for clickthrough to deeper content, similar to the "Our Service", "Why Monarch" and "Join our team". There should also be some area for text content for keyword placement.
Textual content will be largely the same on the new site as the old. Just need to move to a new platform and design is getting old (didn't like it back then, to be honest).
The pages I want designed are:
I will be adding:
Live In caregivers
What to avoid
pictures of medical equipment (stethoscopes, etc.) so we are not confused with doctors or nurses.
