Incredibly visionary and skilled designer.we were very specific in our requests and they were able to capture the concept and translate it into an amazing design that was exactly what I had pictured in my head. By far the most skilled designer that submitted an entry in our contest I would work again with them in a heart beat.

How Brianvmoran started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Credit Union Website - OCIO (Office of the Chief Information Officer) Intranet Portal
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The OCIO intranet website is a SharePoint portal that allows users to collaborate in many different ways. The site is used to upload and share documents, create and manage project tasks and calendars and promote team discussions. The site is also used disseminate any important information within the OCIO.
The OCIO site has 5 main sub sites:
The primary users of this site are employees of the credit union, specifically within the division of the OCIO. These users will leverage all the functionality of the website as described above. Since the site is complex in terms of its functionality, a landing page needs to be provided to these users that rolls up content from various locations, to provide a quick, easy and accessible way of gathering preliminary information, i.e. a dashboard.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Accounting & Financial
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
We have the general layout for the website that is included. The main thing we want to see are different styles and colors, different shadowing, things like that. Keep in mind that we will be rotating the text and images out frequently so a good looking framework and top navigation menu is what we need.
Landing Page: This is the home page. The top navigation banner and maybe the background design are the only parts that will propagate through the rest of the site. The rest of the site will feature a series of user designed widgets that will sit underneath the top navigation and will inherit the background design. Must be fairly neutral background that can work with lots of different styles of widgets. Notes:
1. There is a main carousel that rolls up any announcements (headline with image) within the OCIO. In particular we like the main carousel that yahoo.com uses. The images and text will change frequently and will be pulled from an announcements list (see attached image).
2. There are smaller secondary fade in/out carousels, that roll up images and headlines from dedicated subsites. Each subsite (category on the top nav) will get its own image webpart space on the home page (see attached (see attached image)
What to avoid
Dark backgrounds, unfriendly feel. The site should be bright, colorful, fun, and engaging without being overwhelming.
Light or white backgrounds. Colorful and playful. Fun feel to it.
Use the layout image as guidance. Be creative with everything that is prefixed with "Styled" in the layout image.
The two website samples are designs that our client likes and recently implemented as part of an external website. Do not copy this style, but this is the level of quality and type of design that she found to be favorable. Do not have these constrain your design but feel free to take cues from it in terms of color, etc. It the design can be even sexier that'd be idea.
