danielletremont got their new web page design by running a design contest:
New Web Site for Tremont School
Check out danielletremont's Web page design contest…
The Tremont School is an independent co-educational day school in metrowest Boston for grades 5-9 that has been specifically designed to offer a lively and project-based curriculum for a deliberately diverse group of students. Tremont School opened its doors in September 2011 for grades 5 and 6 with 11 students. Now with an enrollment of 47, a richly talented faculty, and an enthusiastic community of families and friends, we are thrilled to celebrate the launch of our Upper School program with the addition of 9th grade. We will continue to add a grade each year through grade 12 in 2017. Our Mission Statement: The Tremont School is a deliberately diverse and collaborative community that challenges students to take ownership of their learning. We create a real-world, interdisciplinary context that fosters joyful exploration and develops students’ natural curiosity, personal interests, and individual potential. Tremont graduates critical thinkers, problem solvers, and compassionate and dynamic citizens. Our Core Beliefs: i. Students thrive when they feel connected to what they are learning and contribute to a community ii. Strong communities are built on a foundation of respect for diversity of thought, learning styles, personality, and culture iii. Teaching must be individualized because learning is iv. The richest learning environment integrates the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive lives of students v. Tremont School is a collaboration among students, teachers, parents, and community vi. Tremont is a kind and caring community
Fresh, modern, clean, clever, innovative, easy to navigate. We do not want to change our name or logo. We do have a new tagline and rough case statement that we would like to see designers work with. The new tag line is “Learning is experience.” This is part of a larger quote from Albert Einstein which we would like to incorporate as well. “Learning is experience. Everything else is just information.” - Albert Einstein Designers should experiment and be creative with how the tag line is displayed and the proximity of the rest of the quote and reference to Einstein. “Experience” will likely become the predominant theme for the entire web site. Our roughly drafted case statement to follow the tag line is the following. “ Tremont School offers an education tailored to each individual in a small, caring community that values students for who they are. Students are inspired to explore and connect to the world and each other through their experiences - projects, investigations, internships, and expeditions that connect them to their learning in meaningful ways. Creative confidence thrives and student potential is maximized in our collaborative environment. At Tremont we know experience is everything. Come experience Tremont.”
1.Home Page including our new tag line “Learning is experience.” 2. A sample Content Page (e.g. “About Us”) 3. A Media page (Video testimonials, stories about Tremont, slideshow links, etc.)
What to avoid
We are not a special needs school nor a school for “gifted” students. We do not want to use elementary school-level language or imagery. We do not want orange as the primary accent color
We have attached PDFs of our recent brochure and info card that were designed to be ‘basic’ documents for us until we had a new concept and design for the website (and thus a new design direction for the print collateral).
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Web page design starts at $599.
Full copyright with production-ready files for digital and/or print.
