TMA got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Web Design for Subsea Contractor - Need quickly!
Check out TMA's Web page design contest…
The company is a global subsea contractor, as such this should be a fresh design for an International audience (with a North American focus—will only be developed in one language-English).
What's your vision?
Tagline: Our World is Under the Sea Desired Color Scheme: Has to work with the red and blue in the logo Desired Style: Business Professional, Clean, Modern Accepted File Formats: Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff) We are looking for a modern and innovative design with a somewhat conservative slant. A clean and professional design, but nothing really "Web 2.0" in terms of style. This B-to-B organization services very large subsea and energy companies and it's target audience is mostly "C" level so the design should first appeal to executive level folks and be easy to read and have an obvious navigation structure. • Home • Corporate Overview • Services • Products (or Fleet) • Markets • Information Centre • Contact The content (this is just placeholder copy) is as follows: Gulmar Offshore specializes in subsea services: engineering, construction, geophysical and geotechnical surveys, pipeline stabilization, pipeline maintenance and repair, cable installation, pipeline and cable trenching, offshore maintenance and commissioning services. Our operational scope goes from the shallowest to the deepest waters of the Middle East and South East Asia. Established in 1998 and led by a team of experts of prominent renowned offshore contractors, Gulmar has established a reputation of innovation and professionalism, making us world leaders in underwater technology. Our group owns four DP vessels, “Falconâ€, “Eagleâ€, “Condor†and “Badaroâ€, and are in the process of acquiring 4 new vessels. We'd like to see examples with a graphic area at the top of the site (may ultimately be Flash) that contains a photo, either this or a stock image of a ship that has a bit more interest or one that is related to subsea construction, shoot, maybe even deep sea-life... Also, sections on the page containing: Current News (fine to greek in some copy) & Capabilities: Project Management Subsea Operations Maintenance Marine Assets Engineering Here is a list of some of the company's competition, they say they are closest to Acergy in what they do than to the others: - Acergy: www.acergy-group.com - Subsea7: www.subsea7.com - Technip: www.technip.com - Heerema: www.heerema.com - McDermott: www.mcdermott.com - Global Industries: www.globalind.com - Helix: www.helixesg.com - Saipem: www.saipem.it Here are a couple of design examples we like (note: we're speaking generally here and not looking for a knock-off, ORIGINAL WORK ONLY): http://www.xerox.com http://www.as.miami.edu http://www.uidjournal.com http://www.f5.com This is just the beginning if we find the right person, the winner of this contest is likely to be asked to design more work. This client has contracted us to produce several things (we currently have a contest for a brochure cover running right now as well) in addition to the entirely new website. Good Luck and feel free to ask any questions or let us know if more information is needed. Thanks!! Here is a copy of the logo as a gif. (It's a bad scan but we're working on getting a clean vector version) Â
