ricksure got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Web design rescue - design already approved - just needs revisions
Check out ricksure's Web page design contest…
We need someone to recreate and complete a design that has already been tentatively approved by the client. As such, if you know your way around Photoshop, this should be a relatively easy task.
What's your vision?
Accepted File Formats: PSD We are part-way through a project but our designer has dropped out of contact. We do not have the Photoshop files so help us save this project by recreating what the designer has come up with and make a few revisions. You will need: The design so far: http://www.ricksure.com/questap/home1a.htm A copy of the logo: http://www.ricksure.com/questap/Quest-logo.jpg A copy of the masthead photo: http://www.ricksure.com/questap/Quest-masthead.jpg The body text font is Tahoma. Recreate the design as best as you can but make the following changes: It needs to look clean and corporate but at the moment it has some elements that make it feel "warm and fuzzy" rather than "strong and trustworthy". Remove the small, blue horizontal bar at the top (the one that's about 5 pixels high). The masthead has a soft white wash through it. Instead make this section as much of a solid blue as possible. You can keep the faint horizontal lines if you think that looks good. This will be a fixed width design except we would like the masthead to stretch to the full width so fill either side in the same blue. In the main body section, remove the gradient on the sides and bottom of the box. Remove the light blue gradient inside the box. Remove the horizontal and vertical line surrounding the text. We may still need one or two revisions but these are likely to be minor. Speed is of the essence so we may choose a winner quickly if you produce the right result. If you feel that you can improve this further, feel free to add your own touches but don't go overboard.
