Web design need for anime site

The Brief

Summary

I am planning on making the best online site for anime. These pages will be the first created with 3 - 5 more pages, and modules down the line.

What's your vision?

This contest is for two pages, the homepage, and an article page. I am looking for a very clean design (ie: http://www.popsci.com). I have very specific ideas about the layout, and will try to be very specific with any suggestions. I personally am very partial to earth tones greens, browns, blues. However, I am interested in a warm tone for this site. Color should be used mainly as an accent at this time. Assets and Layout http://cid-9bcb5d125b836b4a.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/Public The article page is just a striped down version of the homepage with a related articles box in the sidebar and a comment box with captcha.

Perfered formats Layered: psd, eps, tiff Standard: jpg, gif, png - Header (3 Sections) - Masterhead - Links: RSS Feed/Register/login - Site ver: Animexroads.com v1.0 beta - Advertising & Logo - Advertisement: 728x90 Leaderboard Ad space (should say "advertising" @ 10xp above and to the right - Logo: Do not have a logo, can use AXR in Elephant font - Navigation - NavBar Links: Home, Anime, Manga, TCG, Gaming or Video Games, Community - Body - Main Body - Tout: The current tout is fine except instead of a 5px border would like to go with a 10px boarder. - Articles: List of all current Articles, (Title, Teaser Title, Excerpt, by line, Posted Date, comments, image, and section in which article was written - Sidebar- Advertisement: 300x250 Medium Rectangle Ad space (should say "advertising" @ 10xp above and to the right - New Releases: Tabbed box with tabs for "Anime, Manga, Video Games" - Conventions: List of upcoming Conventions (convention name, city, and date) - Poll: A poll area big enought for a three line question and at least 5 answers. - Footer - Legal & Us Links: Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions Links: About Us, Contact Us
