jordanxx got their new web page design by running a design contest:
We need a vintage, artistic web homepage for our event planning business
Check out jordanxx's Web page design contest…
Based in Austin, Texas, Big Time Creatives specializes in unique and memorable events. Whether entertaining clients, hosting a fundraiser or preparing for that dream wedding, We will design and produce an extraordinary event that your guests will talk about for years to come. Both men and women, for weddings - anywhere from the age of 25-40 looking for a creative experience. For corporate - any company that wants a fully designed event. For social - anyone looking for a fun, creative party.
Our company focuses on design for events, so we want the website to be artistic and bold. You will see our logo and business cards that play off of Hatch Show print. We'd love to play off that, incorporating our colors: Salmon: #e46f66 Yellow: #dfdb23 Blue: #3dafb7 Less modern, and more along the Hatch Show print design. Open to modern fonts, if they fit with the rest of the design. If you notice, our logo is a BTC overlapped. Those can be separated out if need be. Not too over the top, but we want our brand to shine more. Designed buttons are important. We want images, like a guitar to play off that we are in Austin - the music capital of the world. We like more of a simple background color - similar to the background on our business cards - somewhat of a tan color.
Needing the homepage designed. First Section: Slider of images with text. Second Section: Intro to us "FULL SERVICE EVENT MANAGEMENT + DESIGN Based in Austin, Texas, Big Time Creatives specialize in unique and memorable events. Whether entertaining clients, hosting a fundraiser or preparing for that dream wedding, We will design and produce an extraordinary event that your guests will talk about for years to come." with a button to get to our contact page. Third Section: Case studies of our work Fourth Section: links/buttons with a quick description of what each thing is. These will take them to a different page with our different services - Social ("We plan events, all shapes and sizes."), Corporate ("ROI fluently spoken here!"), Weddings ("Love is love, let's get you married!"), Mitzvahs ("Bar, Bat, B'nai, B'not, we've got your Mitzvah covered."), Non-profits ("Bringing attention and applause to the cause."). Fifth Section: Galleries - (3) sections: wedding, corporate, social Sixth Section: Customer Reviews - to show love from our clients. Seventh Section: Our Process - how it works, 1. Brainstorm, 2. Design, 3. Create Need to include a small section for logos of businesses we've worked with. Webpage footer - address, phone number, email, "Extraordinary is what we do for fun" Awards listed somewhere - these are logos also (Award Name and year)
What to avoid
No boring rectangular buttons. Open to additional colors - doesn't need to be our exact colors. Not too pastel or baby colors. Our colors can seem a little too pastel like - need the scratched look - Hatch Show Print!
I've included some images that we would like to try to incorporate on the homepage if possible. They represent the different types of events we do. The marching band with cheerleader, stage with guitar, ribbons with blue glasses and the black and white dressed performer - these are for case studies. Girl in red, Band with Austin sign, Black and white image with couple, table setting with blue and wood, girl with candle, table setting with greenery centerpiece - these are for header slider.
