Ask A Citizen
Ask A Citizen.com is a new international platform where you ask questions to citizens from others countries.
Our site is online but not yet ready for (big) promotion. There are no questions yet. We're still looking at some bugs and usability issues. Have a look at http://www.askacitizen.com.
We are two guys from the Netherlands.
25 - 35 years old with a good education or who are still students. More Facebook than Myspace. More Mac than Microsoft. More Obama than McCain...
In general openminded people interessted in different cultures, countries. People who see globalisation as a challenge instead of a problem. Who like to travel and may have friends in different countries.
Please look at what we have now. It is not bad but also not finished. It needs a professional eye. We want te keep the design very light. We don't have a lot of pages and features. Simple, simple, simple is our motto.
If you visit the site you will be redirected to your own country by ip-recognition. That is going to change into. Our landingspage will be:
http://www.askacitizen.com/en/count…elect=true
So people will have to pick their country and thereby understand better that all the countries are in there. At the top we will put a link to their country. Something like: "you're problaly from...."
The biggest problem is making the difference between asking and answering functions clear on the homepage.
