Animal & Pet
DoggieBag is a subscription service for dogs and dog owners. It is a monthly surprise box, filled with 5-6 items for the dog, such as toys, treats, chewing bones and practical products. Our boxes does not include dog food. Each box comes with a newsletter that describes the products, often including tips to how you can use it in different ways. It also includes an academic article, written by one of our dog experts.
We have a strong green color as our primary brand color. Today it's supplemented by a dark blue. We want to keep the green color, and want to have a gender-neutral, energetic, and playful visual appearance. The majority of our customers are women, but it's important for us that the page does not look "too female" or "too playful", such as many kids and dog websites can do.
We want to redo the current Homepage, with the following goals in mind. **Goals** - Get more users to sign up/try our service - Make it clear that DoggieBag is run by dog trainers and experts, and every item is carefully sourced and tested with our testing crew (dogs and humans). - Drive urgency to subscribe before the next box is shipped (live count down) - Explain what's in our boxes We focus on high-quality products and want to briefly explain what that is/means - Explain how it works (short version) - Show images of previous boxes (with the dogs) - Get users that don't sign up to join the newsletter Every box contains an academic article written by one of our dog experts. This is also sent to our newsletter subscribers. - Demonstrate social proof by showing "Dogs served", Facebook likes, Instagram followers, testimonials, etc. - Social proof/feedback: list embedded posts from Instagram Social media is our main marketing channel, so any creative way to gain followers will help us grow.
**Mobile** 75% of our visitor uses their mobile to browse our pages. It's therefore important to think mobile-first and maximize images for the mobile viewport. **Images** We've been in business for 6 years, and our customers have sent us a ton of images over this period. Some are of extraordinary quality, others are OK, and many are bad. I think it can be good to use a mix of these images, stock photos of dogs (that doesn't have a white background), and illustrations to bring life and a warm feeling to our website. Images of all kinds can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/g6ic47d6jevs5mt/AABVu1GCoDZLPPOFq4BGOqwka?dl=0 **Other** In December, I redid the subscribe form, it is very simplistic but I've used a slightly more playful font for the headers. You can find it here: https://doggiebag.uk/subscribe You can see many pictures on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/doggiebag.uk/
