SpikeMe needs a new website design

SpikeMe

SpikeMe.com.au is a fully online e-commerce store, with users able to browse products and shop easily.
The theme of SpikeMe is punk, skulls, rock, grunge, spikes and studs, metal, stainless steel, leather, a bit of emo, motor-bike and SM but remaining PG rated and clean (meaning not and adult shop).

Target audients - Both young males and females, ages range from 16 – 35 that like to be different, like punk, rock, spikes, studs, leather, stainless steel, skulls, bones, but show class as well.

Try to reframe from making the whole site black, it has to be clean but has to be SEO friendly and so try to not use white font.
SpikeMe.com.au sells mostly accessories such as jewelry – rings, necklaces, pendants, earrings (tunnel earrings, acrylic and plugs), bracelets, belts, studs, spike leather and unusual products.

Here is an example site with a similar theme http://studsandspikes.com/ , however SpikeMe.com.au would be a lot better looking and user friendly.

i like how green-star.com.au has a very relax feel to it, regarding text comments, and easy going to it.

Im yet to design a logo but im thinking the logo and website style would be a little cartoonish. Some logo designs im thinking to get, listed in preference.

The homepage should show featured products and popular products in grid format / can choose list format – with filters, ready to be clicked on easy to buy/ add to cart/basket or added to favorites/wish list.

People on the homepage would think about rock/ punk/ emo/ bikie/ dark trend style that they would buy to go out to night clubs, be different and interesting.

This is not a text heavy site and so relies mostly on the products (which makes the image of the products sell themselves)

Over sell 1 product - No big scroller

Making the menu too big – other page navigations should be on the footer.

Wordpress/ joomla / other templates

Although looks ok, I know the temptation to use too much too much black

What the top menu should have: (creating some small icons would be nice)
-Shopping Cart/bag/basket
-Wish List/ My Favorites
-Checkout
-Account
-Search box

Main Menu / Categories should be ( nice cartoonish icons for the body parts would be nice aswell):
-For the ears – ear pic with tunnel ring / taper/ cuff/ fake
-For the neck – spike leather collar/ chokers
-For the wrist – bracelet’s, spike bracelets
-For the fingers – skull rings
-For Feet – shoes / toe rings
-For the waist – belts, buckles
-Spike Me – all spiked / studded products (default selection)
Followed by a grid view of a range of featured products / random products

Further requirements:
-This site should be really simple to basically have a functionally of like literally looking into a glass cabinet and see the products clearly/ price below, but on a screen.

-Should be fun, quirky but also have a dark side or just unusual.
Most importantly they if they come to this site, they should at least click on some products to add to a wish list, this list can be forwarded to friends using social media + pin up.
