Live My Life Well
REVISED AND SIMPLIFIED CONTEST
Live My Life Well (LMLW) is a new product designed to help make people happier and healthier through online self-improvement. The tool is based in well-researched psychology and will be used by regular people who want to sleep better and reduce stress, and also by people who may already be working with a mental health professional. We are aiming for an authoritative science-backed, but accessible brand. See the links for the current product, called Live Your Life Well (LYLW). LYLW is focused on broadcasting information by providing WebMD-like posts to read. LYLW is passive, and something you read. LMLW (this new product) will be genuinely interactive and help guide people through the process of feeling healthier, happier, and less stressed. LMLW will also provide people access to a community of support. The LMLW pages should be full of calls to action and interactivity.
The program will be designed to improve the user’s well-being over time. The user receives a weekly task list and is expected to follow the suggested tasks. At the same time – the user monitors her well-being on an ongoing basis by taking a happiness and mood survey periodically.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The target audience is not precisely defined. I believe that the audience is likely to be:
-Native english speakers
-Not extremely tech-savvy
-Weighted to 55+ years old, but definitely also including younger people
-People who respect science and expert advice
-On average, slightly unhappy
-Tend to be well-educated
-Interested in improving their lives
All branding (colors, general tone) should conform with the current product: (LYLW) http://liveyourlifewell.org/ But, don't let this requirement be overly-limiting. LYLW is very brief and a bit old, so LMLW can take new turns but should still be same color scheme and general tone as the parent LYLW.
REVISED: We are looking for a set of screen mock-ups of various sections of the site. The mock-ups will be used by a flash developer to build an interactive demonstration of what the site will look and function like, when fully built. It is critical that you provide layered PSD files as well as JPG or PNG-format preview files.
The project requires the following pages:
1) Home page for new visitor
2) Page showing user taking an assessment about his mental health - should show user answering a question. No need to use an actual question(s) for the mock-up; we will replace with real question text during development.
3) Page showing a video + text instruction to the user on how to implement changes.
