How Ravi Singh started their web page design journey
Schoolarship is organization that will lower the amounts of students with debt. We will provide students with education grants which can be used to pay for their tuition. The funds will be provided by advertisers.
Schoolarship is fun, dynamic and energetic.
A little comment on how I use the star system:
1 and 2 star - This will be eliminated, as we feel that it is far from a workable concept for us, but we will comment on potential great elements that we would like to stick around.
3 star - This is a good design, but lacks elements or "feel and soul" to really be amongst the top players.
4 star - This is very great design! Lacks only small elements to be a 5star.
5 star - This is perfection! This is one of the absolute top contenders, and will fight against other 5star ratings for the first prize.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Sponsors (advertisers, i.e. large to small corporations/businesses)
These sponsors typically target students (17-25 year old) and are in industries such as clothing, finance, entertainment to name a few.
There will be a separate application developed for Schoolaship where students will be able to interact with the advertiser sponsored content. This site will be our corporate site where students, sponsors and the general public can find information about us and our purpose/goal.
The site needs to communicate our company values: fun, dynamic and energetic, while maintaining some professionalism. It’s very important to remember that we are trying to lower student debt through an unconventional method and means.
It needs to be clean and engaging, highlighting our purpose and goals. I’ve included the logo elements and font for reference. Below are some of the items that we will have on the site:
- a horizontal nav layout (including a stylized dropdown)
- a standard button
- a container for sub content
- different treatments for fonts such as headers, content, links
- image container treatment
Deliveries in Adobe PSD format. The winning design MUST be well layered so that it is easy for the coder to work on it, so please also attach comments if you feel it will make the coders life easier.
The width should be around 900px. No greater than 990px wide.
Number of pages
We require two pages of our site to be designed:
first page is a splash ,
second page is a generic content page containing all the elements we would need.
While we're not a non profit, our model and offering will have the same effect, as we're giving back to students. The below websites have a clean professional feel, but the seem to lack the engagement and fun aspect. That needs to be included in the Schoolarship site. Feel free to stray from these, they're only examples.
