What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
I need it to be clean, clear, and concise. My customers need to be able to find and select patterns, fabrics, colors quickly and easily. This is difficult because I have a wide array of fabrics/colors to choose from. The site also need to be a resource for customers and sales reps alike. I need it to be technically robust but be easy to navigate and seeming simple to grasp.
We already have the backend built- a fairly robust product database, blog tools, etc. Check out my current site and you'll see how it serves up the myriad of products.
Main page- big bold and beautiful, conveying who we are and what we do- allowing the customer to clearly and quickly identify the next step- IE select hotel products, hospital products, etc. the people looking at our site will mainly be hotel owners and hospital administrators. Lean more toward hotel owners as they are the majority of our business and every hospital administrator wants their patient rooms to look like a hotel... every hotel owner wants their rooms to look like a home.
Secondary pages- address the specific industry- hospitality, healthcare, commercial, etc. and allow the customer to select a product
Third level - a product page that allows the customer to quickly identify what they need of that product... I'd like to see it focus on the easy stuff first and then be able to get into the minutia- specs, drawings, cut sheets, etc... all the seeming silly details that only a few need. The meat of the product will be up front and easy to get to.
What to avoid
I'd like to stay away from drop downs
It is important to note- I do not supply the residential marketplace. We do commercial venues like hotels and hospitals. The other edge of the sword is that hotels and hospitals want their spaces to feel home like.
I've included a bunch of our CGI images so you'll have something to work with. Also our logo in several formats. Note the large orange F... one version of it is "flat" the other is shaded. The shaded version is our official logo, but I understand depending upon size or intended execution, the flat one shows better. I will allow you to decide what works best with your design.
I have all of these logo files in EPS if you need them- just shoot me an email.
