AREAS OF FOCUS
I would like the home page to have 5 areas of focus:
1. What is sleepSEE?
2. Benefits of sleepSEE?
3. How Does it Work?
4. Am I A Candidate?
5. LASIK Challenge
When a visitor clicks of the "Am I A Candidate?" icon I want it to
take
them to a page/section of the site that not only explains their
candidacy, but also has an input box (eyeglass prescription form)
where they can type in their glasses
prescription to get immediate feedback on how likely it is that they
are a candidate or not. (don't use a "submit" button. Instead use:
"Check Now")
In the "How Does it Work?" section, design a infographic clock showing
the steps.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We will be promoting heavily:
1. sleepSEE is clinically proven to slow down nearsighted progression
in children.
2. LASIK Restore: sleepSEE is also used to correct your vision even if
you already had LASIK surgery. LASIK often wears off resulting in
having to go through another invasive surgery to restore you vision.
No more surgeries with sleepSEE!
The site must be responsive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Add-ons:
Blog page ( or header icon to take me to a blog page), Mail chimp,
newsletter signup, social media buttons/feeds?, Doctor Login icon in
header that takes doctor's to their own special "request partnership"
page.

My philosophy is clean, simple and minimalistic. I'm a Vision
Scientist (Optometric Physician) and appearance is very important to
me.
For example (http://www.delarocque.com.br/13/home.html) and
http://www.vizio.com/. And look at this LARGE hero area here
(http://www.thoughtspot.com/) and (https://www.zirtual.com/). Here is
a beautiful UX/UI design (http://tinyastro.co/) and
(https://www.educreations.com/).
These are examples you don't normally see on medical websites. I wish
we could take the top websites I like and transform them to something
special like these above. But is it possible with medical websites?
SleepSEE is a product and a service. I think we have to choose which
direction I need to go to better achieve my objectives.
Doctors tend to use more verbiage/words to explain procedures and
products. I, for one, feel that pictures can say a thousand words.
Wherever/whenever we can use a video in place of text/words we should
USE it!! For example: https://onlycoin.com/. As a visual scientist, I
know most people are lazy readers. The world is changing to VIDEOS
(ie, YouTube).
And it is often what "isn't" said that makes the largest impact. Now
that I think about it, for this project (http://www.sleepSEE.com) our
goal should be to make our point come across using 8 web pages or
LESS!! And using long scrolling pages...we could do it in 5 pages if
we use simpler content. Also, we can drop the sidebar altogether.
Here's another cool "hero area" website where you click on the nav
bar
and you go to a page below but the nav is stationary
(http://www.seattlecidercompany.com/).
One thing I like to point out is in this website:
http://lewahouse.com/. Notice when you click on the navigation bar
the
page scrolls down. But the navigation bar disappears and you have to
scroll back up to use it again. I we were to go with this type of
design, I would like the nav bar to be stationary/static.
Nevertheless, besides wanting my site to be responsive and UX/UI,
below are some things I would like to have on my site. I also realize
many of them I can do myself. And some we won't use at all:
1. Beautiful Fonts: http://www.google.com/fonts/ For example this page
(http://www.stuffandnonsense.co.uk/) has beautiful typography. Don't
you agree?
1a. Attractive language drop down list like #6 on this list:
https://dribbble.com/shots/696122-Language-Dropdown
or
http://www.intellilinks.com/blog/2010/07/language-support-now-available/
2. Cool icons like these: http://www.niftybuttons.com/ or
http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/category/free-icons/
3. Blog (name of blog: EyeThink by Dr. Sing)
4a. Live Chat box (hidden)
4. http://www.google.com/analytics/
4a. google webmaster tools
5. Font size button:
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-change-font-size-onclick-in-wordpress-with-javascript/
or
https://mksap16.acponline.org/help/mk16_fm_help_adjust_the_font_size
5a. MailChimp: http://mailchimp.com/
6. http://www.wufoo.com/
#: We would like the top image to scroll through to other
images/taglines. These are listed in order of importance, with the
most important image (first image seen) described at the top.
*The very first picture frame should read: "Correct Your Vision While
You Sleep!" Want a picture of a kid (7yr or older) swimming under
water with their eyes open looking directly at the camera or we can
use a picture of a child (7yrs or older) sleeping.
*Need a picture of an adult sleeping with smile on face.
*I also want a picture of an athlete searching for his/her lost
contact lenses during a sporting event.
*A worker outdoors working in the hot sun looking sweaty. ( a
construction worker?)
*A kid playing sports
*A picture of a child sitting in a classroom with other children
around
him wearing glasses. Or a child sitting/standing/playing sports, next
to him/her wearing glasses. We will highlight the child NOT wearing
glasses.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Under "Am I A Candidate?" we can have a pic of a child showing their
fingers crossed next to a # "prescription form". Please make
sure child is facing the viewer. And make sure in this section you
have
an eye glasses prescription form. For example go here
(http://www.zipoptical.com/help/pd), scroll down near bottom, look to
far right. The box labeled: Please Enter Your Prescription. Now, look
at the bottom of this form. **
** This is just an example. We ONLY need the Sphere, Cylinder and Axis
drop drowns. **
When someone enters their prescription they will get an
instant notification if they are a possible candidate. So, next to
this form we need to design a "gauge" to tell viewer the percentile
chance of them being a candidate. Make sure you use a button that
says: "Check Now!"
Here's another example:
http://www.globaleyeglasses.com/med
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We want a email capture section (Newsletter sign-up) that says
something like: "Sign-up for our newsletter and request your FREE
sleepSEE
consultation" and next to it (in same box) put the social media
buttons. Have this TWICE ON THE FRONT PAGE (middle and bottom).
The Header should have the following:
1. What is sleepSEE?
2. Why sleepSEE?
3. How it Works
4. Pricing
4. Doctors (will list all the doctors that provide sleepSEE)
5. Blog
6. Dr. LOGIN
7. Language drop down box.
8. Phone #
We want a PROMOTION section that says this:
The LASIK Challenge!
We are so confident that sleepSEE will have you seeing 20/20 that we
offer a guaranteed 100% refund, plus we will give you $500 towards
your LASIK surgery or $100 towards your eyeglass purchase!
Also...we need "Financing Available" somewhere on home page.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
****UPDATE*****
Make sure pictures of all children look 7yrs old or older.
We don't need a "search box" on our site.
PUT SOCIAL MEDIA BUTTONS NEXT TO THE "NEWSLETTER SIGNUP" BOX; which
should be located on home page right under "Benefits of sleepSEE".
And
put it at the bottom also.
Have a "Financing Available!" icon somewhere very visible on the home
page.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
****UPDATE****
Please include a "product packaging" picture on home page.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
****UPDATE****
Under the "LASIK Challenge section, use a ribbon
(http://www.hcgdietplanprogram.com/m) or design something
that catches the eye and build confidence of the viewer.
