All three of these sites seem to do a good job at fitting in a lot of information without giving the visitors a cluttered feeling. In other words, these sites made excellent use of the limited space they had. Another important point is that though all of these sites have their own proprietary way of ranking, each of them used numbers. ---------Page Layout --------- PRODUCT MODEL PAGE - The bulk of the pages on the site are what we called PRODUCT MODEL PAGES or just MODEL pages for short. A MODEL page is a page that contains all the important information a potential buyer will need in order to make their purchase. Your design MUST contain the following fields as we have coded it as part of the backend already: **1. Main Components Score **2. Extra Features Score **3. Quality and Reliability Score **4. Overall Score (Average of above three scores) 5. Product Image 6. Buy Me Button 7. Product Ranking in Price Category 8. Ideal Use 9. Price and Sale Information 10. Our Review 11. Specifications Table 12. Grade Card Table 13. Description of Product 14. Name of Product 15. Page Last Updated The percentage scores (points 1 to 4) are arguably the most important part of the page so they should stand out as much as possible. Right now, we have coded the site so that Review, Specs, Grade Card and Description (points 10 to 13) are shown one at a time. You need to click each of the tabs to see their content, kind of like your tabbed internet browser. You can make your design use tabs or you design it without tabs. However, as each of the tabs does contain a fair bit of text, some sort of tabbed design is probably best. ---------Common Site Elements--------- Though you are only designing the MODEL page, there are elements of your design that we will apply for all pages including: 1. Logo 2. Drop down menu for all the product brands (visit site to see drop down menu) 3. Space for at least 8 Tabs (Tab 1, Tab 2, Tab 3, etc on attached image) 4. Footer

As you can see from my description, each page has very specific elements that must be part of the design. We have built our back end system already to show these fields so you must accommodate your design to our back end system. Regarding the actual design, you can actually submit something very similar to my draft concept attachments. Of course, you have to select a good color scheme, better fonts, better graphics, etc. But as far as placement of each of the required fields goes, you can basically use my original design. Designers are definitely welcome and encouraged to submit their own unique design. Just remember, you MUST include all the fields I discussed above on the page in a clear, logical, and easy to use manner. All submissions will receive a grade and they should be interpreted as follows: 0 Stars - Haven't looked at it yet 1 Star - Design has too many elements we don't like. Need complete overhaul. 2 Stars - There are a few things we like about this design but the general layout is still not good. Need almost complete overhaul. 3 Stars - This layout is good and with the right changes, is a potential candidate to win this contest. There are some elements we don't like so some MAJOR changes are still needed. 4 Stars - Design and layout is very good but there are still some things that aren't quite right. Some MINOR changes needed. 5 Stars - Likely to win this project but may require some finishing touches. If multiple designs are awarded 5 stars, it means that I'm debating which one to award the prize to.
