How infodlu started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We specialize in the sale of vintage mallet percussion instruments and timpani. The Mallet Shop is a place where you can buy, sell, trade or list on consignment mallet percussion instruments and timpani. My audience consists of professional players, schools, universities, orchestras, bands, ensembles who appreciate art and design.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
I need a museum page designed for my website which was recently re-designed via a 99design contest. (I can provide PSD files if desired to see rest of new design). This page was not part of the project hence the new contest.
I'd like the page to resemble an 'actual' museum and I'd like the instruments to mimic sculptures (see 2 attached MET museum file examples).
When a viewer mouse-overs (hovers) over the sculpture / pedestal holding instrument I'd like the sculpture et al to move center stage, blown up (ex. zeroed in on). I'd like the photos to be shiftable (turn 360 if possible). - that may not be possible unless I had shots of various angles? I have several photos of each museum instrument so some how I'd like the other images accessible as well as information. The image areas on pedestals need to be changeable via a backend my coder will develop. The current site page is located here: (see links)
The other photos could possibly appear as thumbnails under the sculpture / pedestal with main picture in cue on pedestal (like a sculpture) and when 'mouse-over' / hover the selected image moves center stage to pedestal where 'sculpture' aka instrument is in cue.
See info above under Visual Style
What to avoid
no menu is needed. My site was already re-designed. I ONLY need the page designed to resemble the museum photo(s) I submitted.
I've uploaded several instrument museum photos. I'll upload more as project takes session. Photos of instruments need to be lifted (photo-shopped) so only instrument is shown with a clean background. I will require these from the selected winner at no additional charge.
