How P&B started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Press & Books
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Press & Books is a Swiss book and press shops operating on high frequency sites (e.g. train stations, airports, malls). The shops are - compared with other book stores - rather small. Target group of the concept are commuters and walk-in customers. http://www.pressbooks.ch is our website where we offer a wide range of books (> 2 mn). The books can only be picked up in our stores.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
Color: Check existing homepage; should be based on our brand identity (check attachements)
Theme: airy, not as "heavy" as our existing website, clean and simple
Important: Our business model is different compared with other online book stores as the books can only be picked up in our shops (no delivery). Therefore the new website should (a) communicate our USPs clearly and (b) have an other look than "common" online book stores.
USP: > 2 mn books, 444* pick up stations in Switzerland, super long opening hours, no online payment
Form & strucutre: organic or/and geometric
Fonts: Gill Sans STD Bold/Regular, Joanna MT STD Bold/Regular
*) New in autumn 2014: from 31 to 444 pickup stations
1 Landing page
1 Landing page: "Click and collect process" page
Super easy search where user can start, communicating "click and collect process" in a simple way. Landing page can have the same look and feel as the homepage but doesn't have to
2 Homepage: see existing homepage
"Click and collect process" page: illustrating our process of ordering online and picking up in the store together with the above mentioned USPs
