Medical & Pharmaceutical
Scientific study of healthy aging. Need to advertise our study to other scientists. Have content but lack 'wow' factor in presentation, it is currently very dry.
In terms of color palette, our logo is currently goldenrod and black. While these colors are somewhat blah, we may be willing to change them while keeping the same logo. Additionally, we would like to add additional colors for accents and emphasis. We would like the website to be straightforward and simple with the general theme of research/science/healthy aging. We would like menus to allow a user to jump to anywhere on the website using on click from where they are currently located. Ease of website navigation given all the scientific content included on the website is difficult. Instead of all text for links, it may be nice to have links with complimentary pictures next to it in order to make it pleasing for visual and reading type learners. Want to include logos for all universities and funding agencies involved in the study as well as the LLFS logo. Photographs advertising older individuals performing healthy activities may be helpful.
Homepage: Introduction to the study. Visually appeasing and clean. Photos of older adults doing active healthy activities. Menus linking to all other content areas (pages). Logos for the study, universities involved, and NIA/NIH. Content Areas (page): A stock page that we can use for the different content areas on our current website. Should have a simple design that flows from/is similar to the homepage. Content areas are demonstrated on our existing website (http://wp5.genetics.wustl.edu/llfs/). Data Collection Form Page: have one page where people can fill out form and send it to us.
Include the logos for all involved universities (Boston University, Columbia University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Southern Denmark), labs (University of Minnesota), Coordinating Center (Washington University in St. Louis), Methods Development (University of Maryland and DUKE University), and NIA/NIH. LLFS study logo Images of older adults performing healthy activities such as those included below.
