Imartinez3 got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Junkers USA needs a new website design
Check out Imartinez3's Web page design contest…
Our website will be used as a virtual store front; given we are a mobile company that buys old unwanted junk cars and in turn, sells them to scrap yards and junk yards for profit. The website is designed to describe our company, how it works and a contact section.
I have a domain that I would like setup to the website you guys develop. (www.junkersusa.com)
Theme: Color Animated (not childish) design that depicts our industry, the buying of cars as the overall concept and cover of the website and for this theme to continue throughout the website. The animation should depict the step-by-step process of buying a customers junk car. (Example: step 1, junkersusa showing up at the customers location, step 2. evaluate car, 3. cash payment to customer, 4. Driving off with car and a HUGE smile on the customers face!) Junkers USA Website Brief Theme: Color Animated (not childish) design that depicts our industry, the buying of cars as the overall concept and cover of the website and for this theme to continue throughout the website. The animation should depict the step-by-step process of buying a customers junk car. (Example: step 1, junkersusa showing up at the customers location, step 2. evaluate car, 3. cash payment to customer, 4. Driving off with car and a HUGE smile on the customers face!) The copy should be keep as a text format and NOT as an image format. Reference (www.junkmycar.com) On this 1st page, I would like three tabs to appear up top which include The Company, How It Works (which includes a description of the step-by-step customer interaction process <pick up and delivery, no obligation free quote>, payment description, etc.), Contact Us (cell phone should be callable from a mobile device and email should be email able via click through a mobile device). These sections should appear on the same page without having to open additional pages (see www.junkmycar.com as a reference). A Facebook, Twitter and Instagram connect capability up top as well. It is important for the designer to remember that I am looking for a simple, easy-to-use, user-friendly and clean (not cluttered) design. Additional details: I would like the capability in the future to include the offer calculator yet I am not clear on the algorithm and configurations that would be necessary to include that on my website nor if it truly is worth it given that the price of the car has so many variables that can only be determined on site yet if it is possible for a developer to quote me on that, I would appreciate it. The offer would have to read that it is an approximate value and that the final value would be determined on site. I want my website to stand out, to be the differentiator for the industry, to not look like every other "DIY" website yet that it was designed by a serious designer for a serious company. I am open to receiving ideas on how to give the website a differential aspect beyond the offer calculator. **I would also like one more page done, but 1-on-1 with the designer after the contest is finished. I would like an exact Spanish version of the first page. I would like a LARGE link on the first page (English page) that takes the customer to the Spanish page. Please remember this when designing the first page because there will need a section for the Spanish link to appear. I am aware that this step with cost extra money.
What to avoid
Avoid: DIY look, complex design, not user friendly, bland design, dark colors.
This is our company logo. Please incorporate the colors and theme (animated, simple, classy and friendly) into the website. There are 4 different examples of the logo, but just use the 2 top logos.
