About the International Fertilizer Association The International Fertilizer Association (IFA) is the only global fertilizer association with a membership of more than 500 entities, encompassing all actors in the fertilizer value chain: producers, traders, distributors, service providers, advisors, research organizations and NGOs. IFA promotes the efficient and responsible production, distribution and use of plant nutrients to enable sustainable agricultural systems that contribute to a world free of hunger and malnutrition.
Modern, creative, attractive, appealing, attention-grabbing and user friendly site navigation.
We are creating a public website and a members-only website. We therefore need 2 distincts homepages and 1 complex content page that needs to fits both homepages. HOMEPAGE 1 1. The Public Site: Objectives: The main objective of IFA’s public homepage is to look modern and attractive, and encourage users to browse through the site’s content through user-friendly navigation and an attention-grabbing layout. Description: Because the public site gives access to the Members’ site, a Member log-in button needs to figure prominently above the menu at the top of the page. The site’s menu will be at the top of the page, below IFA’s logo and the member login, and above a rotating banner, where the upcoming events and latest IFA news will appear . The menu contains the following elements: - About Fertilizers - About IFA - Stewardship - IFA STAT - Events - Media -Contact us Below the banner will feature prominently a section that brings people to “IFASTAT” ( the section would be called IFASTAT) and a second section : “IFA Events”. These two “boxes” / “icons” reflect the two key IFA Services and should be well visible. The homepage will also feature a section presenting the industry’s engagement in global challenges: the section would be called “Industry Engagement: SDGs” (that will send users back to a landing page with an interactive map where the SDGs are being implemented, where users can find documents, case studies etc.); and a section whose content will be a “hot topic” that IFA wants the bring attention to, that is likely to change over time (for instance “Climate change”, or “Specialty fertilizers”). We would also need on the homepage a small space somewhere for a short presentation / description of what IFA is. We could imagine that we indicate just its mission and vision, for instance. Towards the bottom of the homepage will feature IFA’s last two or three Expert blogs. The page will end on a footer with the member login, elements of the menu and IFA’s last tweet (but the tweet should just be small !) User experience: 1- A new visitor to the website will arrive on the public page of IFA, fertilizer.org. If they decide to browse through the homepage, they will be able to reach IFA’s Statistics landing page (and access to the IFASTAT website) by clicking on the IFASTAT section. They could see what the upcoming IFA events will be thanks to the “Upcoming Events” Section; or reach IFA’s interactive map on SDGs by clicking on “Industry engagement in the SDGs” Section, or read about Climate change, the latest “hot topic” at IFA. They can finally start reading an expert blog at the bottom of the page, and should they want to read more click on the blog and be redirected to the sites’ expert blog page If they have any question they can click on “contact us” and send a question directly to the email@example.com address. HOMEPAGE 2 2. Member’s Site: Objective: The main purpose for the Member’s site is to regroup all in one place all key services IFA offers to its Members. A Member should be able to see “on a glimpse” where he can find what he is looking for (documents, info, services etc.) These services will be divided in broad categories under which Members can find specific content. This site’s main objective is to be functional, clean, straightforward and NOT overwhelming. It will also be a personalised experience, where once logged in, the Imis software (which will be embedded in the site) will be able to generate a welcome message with the name of the Member, their company, news based on interests on top of the page Description: Once logged in through the public site’s Member Login button, Members will arrive on this page. On the left side, will be the a menu ( drop-down menu, listing all the content of the side) A welcome message will appear on top of the page. Below, there will be very small icons for the latest Newsletters (so that Members can catch up on recent activities), and an icon / “box” / frame for LatestNnews Below is the MAIN PART (and most important part) of the website, where Members will find all their key IFA Services in several block menus: - IFASTAT: this Menu will redirect members to the IFASTAT website, or give them access to Market Outlooks, Trade Maps and Country Profiles. - IFA Events- this Menu will feature upcoming IFA Events, International events IFA will participate in, Conference Proceedings and App information. - IFA Membership: This will be an innovative feature for Members. From this menu, they will be able to submit their tonnage declarations, pay their membership fees and get their invoice straight from the site. The section will also provide access to the Articles of Association and Byelaws, a Members’ directory (through the Imis database), a list of IFA Ambassadors and useful information, like the IFA Secretariat address and telephone. - Benchmarking & Certification: Members taking part in IFA’s Protect and Sustain Certification Scheme, as well as its SHE benchmarks, will be able to find all related information in that section. A “Hall of Fame” of Members that have been certified will also be one of the section’s features. - Resources: IFA’s information services will be sorted into this menu. Members will access IFA’s library, newsletters, review papers, webinars, crop calendars and videos. - IFA2030: This will be a new menu designed to keep members informed of the progress of a strategic exercise we are undertaking. The results of the survey, stakeholder meetings and the scenarios will all be available there. - The IFA Ready- to -Use Tools: This menu will feature Communications and Public Affairs tools for Members, that they can use when dealing with external stakeholders and/or the press. There will also be a few useful tools from the Agriculture Service. Examples include: the Fertilizer Policies country sheets, the SDG Agenda Series and Message Maps. - IFA Committees: When clicking on this button, Members will be able to access all information relating to their Committee in this menu. Each Committee’s SAT, latest meeting minutes, upcoming events and recent publications will be made available there.
