I'm Andy Davies the CTO for Midpoint. We are a start-up and and we are really good at implementing the business model and technology. However design and creativity is not our strongest point!
The target audience is SME businesses that need to pay suppliers etc in a foreign currency. We can save them considerable amount of money by offering them the currency midpoint rather than the bank rate.
Need a new look and feel for the whole site. We want to keep the existing logo but everything else is up for grabs. The three elements are the bottom of the page can go.
We need new navigation and a functional central area.
The overall look and feel / navigation including a landing page that is:
- Provides a reason to return
- Graphical way to navigate site and trade
Sites such as betfair offer a good example as you can transact from the central screen for an event. I.E. you can see the buy price, click on it and it launches an order window.
From a navigation viewpoint I think the navigation on JohnLewis.com is excellent.
In general web 2.0 / Ajax look and feel is what I'm looking to achieve.
What we are trying to achieve is quick progress to logon / encourage people to register / find information about us and our service / see real-time prices
Need the savings calculator to be redesigned to fit in with new design. Look at th original on midpointtest, com
The central area of the landing page needs to be a tool that shows a selectable currency with real-time updates against a number of other popular currencies. We will display our price (the midpoint) and the markets. Once login if you click the midpoint price is generates a trading window. Potentually 2 or more currency windows in the central system.
See powerpoint for an idea of the currency window.
The fxpro site shows in bottom rhs realtime fx prices being updated
