Nanigans is the leading provider of performance-based Facebook advertising services. We help companies acquire more customers by purchasing Facebook ads on their behalf and optimizing those campaigns. The advertiser is only charged when a customer completes a conversion, be that a Facebook app install, a purchase on the advertiser's website, or any other conversion event as defined by the advertiser. Nanigans is a fully-managed service that takes all the risk out of advertising on Facebook.
Our target audience are medium to large Facebook advertisers (social games app developers, dating sites, or ecommerce companies, etc). We are specifically targeting marketing managers and executives at those companies who control their advertising budget and / or manage Facebook as a customer acquisition channel. Those people skew male, in their late 20's and 30's and are extremely tech savvy.
Design a new homepage for our website. Winning entry could lead to more follow up projects.
Primary Goal: Sign up new advertising customers for the Nanigans service.
Design: The design should be clean, professional, and modern with a touch of whimsy & youthfulness. Think something along the lines of a well-designed, sleek iPad app. Advertisers should feel that Nanigans is a company they can trust to manage thousands of dollars of ad budget. The site should also reflect the fact that Nanigans is an agile, modern, youthful, tech company. Since many of our customers are social games companies (think "Farmville"), it would be nice to include some subtle design references to games (nice to have, but not critical). The site should be professional, not silly.
Layout & Content: Attached is a rough wireframe intended to give you a sense of the key messaging, marketing copy, and content hierarchy. It is not intended to represent strict dimensions or required layout. Feel free to deviate from the wireframe as long as you adhere to the details below.
Most important, the page should include...
1) the key value proposition and call-to-action button is clearly presented above the fold (headline, brief description, strong visual, and call to action button) - and -
2) all of the supporting information provided in the attachment is present somewhere on the page (sections for customer logos, testimonials, "our technology & solutions", etc)
Visual: In terms of the visual component above the fold, feel free to use stock photos from iStockPhoto.com with their watermark or original artwork. If you use stock photos, Nanigans will purchase the images after the contest winner is selected. The visual should reference Facebook and / or advertising. For example, it might include an image like this woman http://laz.me/efsFth standing in front of a screenshot of the Facebook homepage. Or, the visual could be an original illustration that suggests advertising, Facebook game apps, or other relevant imagery. We find that including people in the visual tends to draw people in, but use your own creative judgement.
Header: The header should include Nanigans' logo in white font on a blue background (Hex Color #00497b or a gradient of that) or blue font on white background. The company logo can be downloaded here: http://laz.me/hnEhPU. A few tabs should also be included in the header as per the attached wireframe.
The call-to-action button should be a bold accent color that pops (orange, red, yellow, etc).
The only element of our current site that we want to maintain is the logo. Please disregard all colors, copy, etc. (http://nanigans.com)
Clean, professional, modern design, but with some youthful style and a creative look. Here are some examples, not of the layout, but showing some of the youthful design elements we like:
While those examples all follow different design styles, I think they all maintain professional credibility while also appearing youthful, modern, and web savvy. Those are the qualities we're interested in for our site.
