http://www.adt.com for information about products/services and http://www.homesalarm.com for an example of a competitor site. We like the clear navigation and professional feel of the latter, but are looking for something a little shorter and more personal, with greater emphasis on our primary product above the fold.
Furthermore, http://www.protectyourhome.com/ and http://www.adthomesecurity.com/ are good examples of competitive retailers whose sites are built to accommodate highly targeted PPC traffic (similar to what we’re expecting), with targeted terms and limited navigation.
Homepage: As an online reseller of ADT security systems, we’re looking for a homepage that clearly presents our primary product: home security systems (burglary prevention systems; fire, flood, and carbon monoxide protection systems; home health alert systems; and video surveillance systems) and also our secondary product: small business security systems (intrusion detection systems, access control systems, and video surveillance systems). You needn’t include all of these individual choices on the home page, but you should include both home security and small business security somewhere in the navigation. The main focus of the page should be the home security systems, since they have a much larger target audience and will be the focus of our advertising efforts.
Interior Page: This will primarily be a product page for our home security systems. Each of the different types of security (e.g. burglary prevention systems) as listed above should be represented here. Keep in mind that each of these choices have, in turn, several plan options, so it'd be helpful to have some "learn more" or "see all options" buttons next to each.
The ADT Authorized Dealer logo (see attached) MUST appear in the upper lefthand corner of the page. Our logo (see attached) can appear in the upper righthand corner of the page, but should generally be larger than the Dealer logo.
We’re imagining a site that really appeals to the heart of people—what they cherish and what they protectively guard—their children, their pets, their employees. We’re hoping a banner on this page will really capture that our services are here to protect the things that our customers love the most. A combination of professional (layout) and personal (images, messaging) will help us achieve this.
We’d also like to see a strong, bold call-to-action above the fold, something that touches on “peace of mind,” “personal security,” and a push for consumers to call us.
Also, please do not include any testimonials or references to social media.
