How SHINE14 started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
SHINE, Stop Hazing In Nations Everywhere
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Stop Hazing In Nations Everywhere, or SHINE, is an organization designed to shine the light of awareness and education on hazing. While Universities and schools across the world have anti-hazing policies and laws prohibiting the act of hazing, its' continued presence threatens the health and safety of all students. One of the most effective ways to eliminate hazing is to create and infuse anti-hazing prevention programs in every academic institution, arming students with the knowledge and awareness it takes to identify and stop hazing from happening.
The mission of SHINE is to create safe school, campus, and organizational environments through empowering students with the knowledge of hazing, including it's facts, laws, myths, and potential risks.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
No, this is will be the first website for SHINE
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
My thoughts for this website is bright colors to catch peoples eye, it is aimed for college students so it needs to be designed for them.
No dull colors please or corporate looks. Please pay close attention to my design brief examples, especially the Katy Perry website. I really like the eye catching colors in them as well as her link/menu bar. SHINE is aimed primarily for college students, but any one is welcome. Also I forgot to put this in the design brief but there should be links for Facebook, twitter. Thank you so much!!
The homepage should capture the visitor to want to
browse on the website. It should also feature different hazing facts etc. Be creative.
Home page menu bar should include the following links: what is hazing (this page will include facts, myths, etc), about (who we are), news and events, support, contact
What to avoid
I don't want it to be boring. I want people to have the desire to return to the website and really want to get involved.
