Parsemed makes published medical facts available to the general public.
Ideally, users search for a disease - or something they need to know the best way to treat. Even something like a broken bone. The results aren't a straight list of results as if it were Google - instead, the results graphically indicate the best treatments identified by how confidently it's suggested as a treatment. (essentially, how many times it sees a semantic link between a problem and a solution in the medical literature).
Please don't hesitate to use a placeholder image service for space where it might not be clear what content goes there.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Medical & Pharmaceutical
For content, I'm aiming to keep text very minimal, but to show a workflow, and short bits of text to encourage users. This is by far what I most admire and wish to emulate: http://stackshare.io/
For typical navigational bits, a navbar at the top with menus - though I'm planning on using this style: http://tympanus.net/Development/Tab…n-fillup-1 - the aim here is to look differentiate a bit. Logo just anywhere that makes sense! I'm hoping to find a way to have help make a nice website and give designers a chance to try things they wouldn't normally try.
I'd like the search to be a second page, separate from the landing page - but, not a hard requirement.
There's ideally three lines in the search results section: 3 charts at the top line, a brief top-10 list of the most relevant journal articles in spread out in two columns in the second line (I know this is tough in mobile, so don't worry about that!), and the third space contains quotes of text considered the most relevant, such as "healing times typically take 3-6 weeks".
What to avoid
I like colorful! Anything goes. Go for your crazy ideas here!
I like colors mixed against a black background. I also like any modern frontend tooling, though whatever your preferred tools are work for me!
