Help us change the world with this proven disruptive sustainable technology. The PowerMatcher is the open source smart grid solution that will connect your smart appliance e.g. airco or washing machine to the windmill of your neighbor and the CHP of your tomato farmer. We want to redesign our product website so that the design is more in line with the current style/trend (see example websites). Bottom line it has to be more appealing. Currently we also have a logo redesign contest running; the final result should be today or tomorrow. But for now assume use the current logo @www.powermatcher.org. The new logo will still be green and can be used for color coding the website. You could be asked to change the color code of the webdesign a different shade of green along the way. The PowerMatcher is a technology, but moreover it is a people product. We are trying to make the world a better place so that our energy consumption is more sustainable and we can safely hand over the world to our next generation of children. So when designing the website remember that you are not just designing a technology product webpage but a showcase of how the powermatcher will improve your life. page 1 - landing page (see attached website examples) with a top section menu (the menubuttons can do a vertical rollout with subsections);Below that a (screen) wide picture (at least showing a real person and a technology reference); the picture has arrows to move sideways to other pictures and a transparent title overlag; below the picture a section with three icons: "technology overview", "Download Now" and "Get Involved". Below that a section with announcements and twitter bar. Below that a section with partner logos .Below that a section with another static menu (as in the example websites). below that a disclaimer section. page 2 - a generic content template page; an area where we can add movies or pictures, an area where we can add content (with a title, subtitles, date, tags), a static vertical area on the right side (see opendaylight.org/community) that remains static over the entire website which can hold widgets with short text pointers (e.g. "Join now!")
