A winner was selected from 21 designs submitted by 8 freelance designers.
Tweetmatix
Tweetmatix helps small businesses connect with local customers and prospects on Twitter.
Any business that operates on a local level. The design must speak to the marketing sensibilities of a small-business owner.
This includes the mom-and-pop shops, the local deli, bars and restaurants, Realtors, dentists, florists, etc. National companies can also use it to when niching down to smaller, regionally targeted areas.
Requirements:
We’re a cutting-edge social media company. As such, we want a cutting-edge, “Web 2.0” design that will be clean, easy on the eyes, uncluttered (don’t be afraid of negative space), and appealing to business-minded individuals.
Color scheme, logo, and everything you see on the current Tweetmatix.com are fair game to change. While we do like our current logo, we’re not opposed to change (ie: keep it if you can work it into your design, change it if you want). We don’t want to restrict creativity.
The only requirements we have in any new logo are:
1) Simple/Clean/Clear
2) 2 or 3 color max
3) Solid colors only - No gradients
Use little to no stock photography. If it’s cookie-cutter, it will be eliminated.
The content which exists on the dashboard (screenshot included) will remain the same. We are looking for a home-page design which incorporates the text elements which we have and a header/footer for interior pages.
The dashboard elements may be modified to correlate with the larger design (colors, feel, etc), but basic structure will remain intact. This relates to the dashboard only. All other pages are fair game and open to creativity.
Some sites we like to use for inspiration are:
http://basecamphq.com/ (although almost too cluttered with text)
http://friendfeed.com
http://cotweet.com
At the end of the contest, artist will provide files in layered .png format, Adobe Illustrator 10 layered vector images
