CaseComplete
We're a small software company (Serlio Software) in a market dominated by big players. We don't use email very often to communicate with our customers and prospects, but when we do, we want the email to look respectable and credible.
We target Business Analysts and Project Managers who work in the IT departments of companies worldwide. These folks are always busy and reasonably tech-savvy.
We only send an email when we have something valuable to share with our audience. The design shouldn't distract - it should bring a bit of credibility and visual appeal to the single thought that we try to convey in each email.
The look of the email should match the style of our website: http://www.casecomplete.com.
The template should include:
-The CaseComplete logo (attached)
-Space to include a body text of a short message. The message will be short, so it's okay if the body font is a bit larger than a typical email.
-A way to include a call to action in the message (either a link or a button)
-An optional place to embed a picture in the message (e.g. if we'd want to include a screenshot)
The email should be readable even if the reader does not download the images.
I've attached the logo as well as three examples of email templates I like.
