jmcclaff got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Design the Website for "What's on their iPad?"
Check out jmcclaff's Web page design contest…
This is a new business. We will be showcasing what apps are on certain individuals' iPad/iPod/iPhones. The business will generate revenue from site advertising and from link referral fees generated by visitors clicking on the apps we showcase and buying them in iTunes. We may expand this to include Android and other platforms as well in the future.

The website will be a single page focusing on iPad apps. It should be graphically rich and colorful. The page would include a header with some descriptive text (I'd like to be able to modify this text fairly easily without much coding) along with tabs that would take you to two sister sites/pages that are essentially identical pages except one is for iPhone apps and the other is for iPod apps. The main portion of the page will be a graphic of an actual iPad. The iPad display screen will be provided via an actual screen capture of an iPad. The app icons will be hyperlinks. There will need to be the ability to click on the left and right of the iPad to scroll to the next and previous iPad pages while the remainder of the website remains the same. Around the iPad image there will be a widget containing a twitter feed and another containing a facebook feed. There will also be advertising (google AdSense) and I'll look to the designer to suggest how that would fit on the page. ** If you have ideas that differ from this I'd love to hear/see them as long as they include a some way to graphically display apps (not just a text listing), space for advertising, and space for Facebook and twitter widgets.
The target audience is: - young, primarily age 16-35, - very comfortable with social networking and sharing information about their interests and activities, - technically savvy - owns an Apple iPad or iPhone or iPod.
