rubenq got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Design a website that helps car owners and drivers find each other
Check out rubenq's Web page design contest…
We are a site that looks to connect drivers and owners of cars willing to rent them, to work in platforms like Lyft, Uber or Cabify. The website will be in spanish.
We like simple designs, with straight to the point messages. The images and themes should be car/ride related, with a hint of "be your own boss" attitude.
A. Home/Intro Page. We want to display our objetive: "Ayudamos a conductores y dueños de autos a encontrarse y trabajar en conjunto" (helping connect drivers and car owners to work together). Then a brief intro of what we do, tailored on user selection of "I am a car owner looking for a driver" or "I am a driver looking for a car". B. Signup. The signup page asks different questions for drivers or owners. After choosing the user type, the idea is to follow a questionnaire with next/back arrows, that may be long (specially for drivers), but that seems very clean and light on each section of the questionnaire, not to discourage the answers. The actual questions to asked will be provided below. C. Your searches. In this page the magic happens. Drivers or owners create "searches" depending on what they want, and the site delivers results to help them find the right one. An idea is to define rows on the page (each row will be one search), where boxes are placed and can be scrolled to the sides. The boxes contain photos and limited information. Clicking on a box shows a popup with more information and a way of contact to easily navigate and contact. If further information is needed, there has to be a button to go to the detailed profile page (see below). D. Profile page (either cars or drivers). A page with details of the result found in searches, including directions on how to connect. E. My connections. Like a message center between drivers and owners, where they have left messages for each other. -- New Info on searches page: There should be a create new search button, and then the user should indicate if it is a car or driver search, and input fields: For cars: * marca (brand) * modelo (model) * year (año) * rent cost (costo) this one should have a min, max and be followed by a box with (daily/weekly/monthly) * kilometraje maximo (max milleage) For drivers: * edad (age, min/max) * licencia de conducir (license type, check all that apply, A1, A2, ... as in signup list) * con experiencia en plataformas? ( experience in platforms required? Yes/No., if yes: minima nota? - min rating?: ) * con estacionamiento propio? (With parking space for the car)
