Design a Modern, Startup Website for AusMaids!

Cleaning & Maintenance

We're a high-end apartment and house cleaning service based in Brisbane, Australia. Our belief is that through technology and customer service, we can enhance the experience of finding a house cleaner. Everything from our cleaners to our pricing is high-end. We're looking for a site that reflects that image, whilst not coming off as pretentious or old - think modern startup instead. We'll be answering and reviewing designs multiple times a day, until the contest finishes. If you've got any questions, we'll be able to reply within minutes!

Light colours, whites and greys are ideal. Green is the accent colour, somewhere around #25c776, but this is open to change as you see fit! Seriously, go for it! Mobile is key. The design should be created with mobile in mind as well - meaning it works well on both desktop and mobile devices via responsive UI/UX. Please submit a mobile design of the homepage alongside the desktop design. Good use of negative space/whitespace is important - the site should be minimal and uncluttered, without lacking important info. No large bodies of text needed. Happy faces are another important part of the site, and should be featured throughout. At the very top, in the section right as you first land on the page, there needs to be a two-slider tool where visitors can adjust the number of beds and baths within their house. This will let them see a live quote. A perfect example of this is www.maidsinblack.com Some examples are listed below. A modern design, without needlessly complex icons or effects is a must. https://www.airtasker.com is a great example. We do not have a logo design -- in the future, we will be using a simple type-based logo. You can choose a font for the logo placeholder for now!

1) Homepage: This is where most of the content will be. Above the fold, should be the navigation links up top, the background image, and the slider overlaid on top. To the right of the slider, a video player for a testimonial. See our existing mockup for a very close idea of what we like :) Directly underneath that, should be a section like underneath the booking sliders on www.maidsinblack.com. A nice 'featured in' sort of section (I really like the "over 9,000 five-star reviews" bit). Then, a How AusMaids Works section detailing the three steps: book, clean, relax. Next should be a small section about us being insured. https://www.airtasker.com is a PERFECT example of this, and we would LOVE something similar, without being a copy. Following on should be a "trust" section where we highlight how we help the customer and protect their info. Eg. 'Saves you time', 'Insured', 'Background checks', 'Seamless communication, etc. Then, a testimonials section. Then, a 'Download the app' section. Finally, a final call to action, and then the footer. We've attached our current exisiting mockup, which can be heavily used, as it's close to what we like, though missing polish and thoughtful design. I've attached some stock images - the only one that's important to us is the couch image being used above the fold :) The ideal design can and should follow this layout, and the attached mockup, but is even more important that you feel free to be creative, and change things as you think fits. The winner will be selected on their ability to put come up with a modern redesign of this. 2) About Us Just a short about us page, to instil trust. I really REALLY like http://www.maidsinblack.com/about/ - it's not too complex, nor too empty. Short, but beautiful. Please use this as inspiration. 3) Booking Page We'll be using the booking form and checkout from Launch27, which is seen on the example. As with the Gift Card page, all we really need is a design around it, not the actual booking form itself. See https://www.maidsinblack.com/book-now/ to get an idea. We'd like to get a few more pages done after this, and are willing to pay the winning designer very well in a 1-to-1 project after this contest! :)

Please avoid any 'cartoonish' icons or designs. Do not use large bodies of text or paragraphs. When it comes to smiling faces, please use real photos, not illustrations. Think professional, modern, startup.

You're the professional! Take all the creative freedom you'd like, feel free to break some of my rules - I'd love to see what you come up with! There is definitely more work available in the immediate future if you'd like, especially for social media pages, and envelope designs. Attached is our current design mockup, which shows a general idea of what we are thinking and wanting, feel free to use it as a guide :) PS. We've also attached some stock images you can use.
