How travisa8 started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We’re a healthcare staffing firm who helps healthcare professionals find jobs in hospitals throughout the nation. TotalMed prides itself on being the healthcare staffing firm that cares like no other -- our travel nurses and other staff look to the TotalMed team to be like a second family. We value integrity, self-motivation, and having fun.
We have two primary audiences: 1) Healthcare Job Seekers (primarily travel nurses, but also travel therapist, allied staff, and nonclinical staff) and 2) Healthcare Employers (primarily hospitals, but also health plans, health insurance, and medical clinics.
Two additional site designs will also be awarded to the winner, to be paid out on a project or hourly basis, based on designer preference. Preliminary round will close early, on Sunday.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
We'd like a design that is clean, fresh, and simple. Designed for WordPress with Divi in mind (https://www.elegantthemes.com/gallery/divi/). We need to convey both a sense of fun and of professionalism -- a hard balance to strike but rewarding for the right designer! Images should be a combination of illustrations and photos, designed to engage the user. Stock medical images are usually atrociously stiff and fake, so looking for a more modern, authentic feel (think Unsplash more than Bigstock). For the healthcare professional, we want to convey both a sense of family and a sense of adventure. For the employer, we want to convey a sense of expertise, professionalism, and confidence.
Homepage: We want a clean, simple, engaging homepage that highlights our values and services. It should balance a fun, engaged, trustworthy feel for healthcare professionals with a balanced, expert, professional feel for employers.
Job search page: We want a clean, professional job search page that prominently features a form candidates will fill out to apply for jobs (see the form example here: http://totalmed.com/get-started/). Page should make form look easy and engaging and encourage browsers to fill it out. Here's an idea of the functions we're going for: http://totalmed.com/screen-shot-201…-27-35-pm/
Services page: We want an image-rich services template that will spotlight the services TotalMed provides to travel nurses. Should include a clear CTA.
Blog: We want a clean, modern blog page that encourages browsing and exploration.
Contact page: We want a contact page that has a contact form, a map, contact info, and a CTA.
What to avoid
We’d like to move away from the green in the current TotalMed logo. Sample of new logo direction attached below.
